2025 Tomaiolo - Pinot Grigio delle Venezie HALF BOTTLE (375ml)

Tomaiolo is part of the wider Castellani family portfolio, an estate the family founded in Tuscany in 1903 and has since grown into a broad Italian producer with more than 250 hectares of vineyards. Best known for its Chianti Classico bottlings, the Castellanis farm without chemical fertilizers or pesticides and built wineries close to each growing region to process fruit quickly and keep it in top condition.

This bottling looks beyond the family's home turf in Chianti, drawing Pinot Grigio fruit from the delle Venezie IGT, the wide zone across northeastern Italy that spans Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, and Trentino, known for producing fresh, approachable whites at scale. The grapes are gently pressed after harvest, then fermented at cool, controlled temperatures in stainless steel to protect the variety's delicate aromatics and keep the finished wine crisp and lively rather than heavy or oxidative.

The wine pours a pale straw with faint greenish reflections, opening to a balanced bouquet of apple, white peach, and hawthorn blossom. The palate is fresh and harmonious, light on its feet with a clean, easy finish. Pour it as an aperitif, or alongside caprese salad, grilled shrimp skewers, or a simple plate of prosciutto and melon.
