Jose Cuervo Silver Tequila 750ml
Jose Cuervo traces its history to 1795, when Jose María Guadalupe de Cuervo received the first official charter from the King of Spain to produce tequila commercially. The family has distilled at La Rojeña in the town of Tequila, Jalisco, ever since, making it the oldest continuously operating spirits distillery in Latin America and giving Jose Cuervo, now the world's best-selling tequila brand, a heritage that still shapes its recipes today.
Jose Cuervo Silver, officially labeled Especial Silver, is a mixto tequila rather than a 100% agave expression, meaning it must contain at least 51% blue Weber agave with the balance made up of other sugars such as cane or corn syrup. It succeeded the brand's earlier Cuervo Clásico and Cuervo Blanco expressions, and unlike the reposado-blended Gold, Silver is left entirely unaged. It is double distilled at La Rojeña using agave sourced from the fields around the Tequila volcano, then bottled clear without any barrel or coloring influence.
The nose is clean and fresh with subtle agave and light herbal notes. On the palate the tequila is crisp with cooked agave sweetness, a touch of citrus zest, and a clean herbal edge, finishing dry, warm, and lightly peppery without any oak character.
