Fee Brothers has been crafting bitters and bar staples in Rochester, New York since 1864, making it one of the longest continuously operating bitters producers in the country. The company remains family owned and has expanded over the generations from a handful of core recipes into one of the widest bitters catalogs on the market, with production still centered in its original Rochester facility.

Grapefruit Bitters is made from the bitter citrus oils extracted from grapefruit skin, built on the glycerin and water base the company favors across much of its line rather than a neutral spirit base. That choice shifts the emphasis toward aromatic intensity over alcohol driven extraction, giving the bitters a softer, more fruit forward character than many spirit based grapefruit bitters on the market, while keeping the flavor concentrated enough that only a few dashes are needed.

The nose leans candy like, with intense pink grapefruit zest and a faint pithy, mineral quality underneath.
