Scrappy's Bitters was founded in Seattle in 2008 by bartender Miles Thomas, who set out to build the bitters he could not find on the market at the time. Years of research into herbs, extraction methods, and flavor pairing led to a line of small-batch, single-flavor bitters that helped define the modern American craft bitters movement. The Essentials Mini Set gathers four of the brand's core releases into one collection, designed as an entry point into the Scrappy's range for both home and commercial bartenders.

The set includes four 0.5 ounce dropper bottles: Aromatic, Orange, Chocolate, and the Firewater Tincture, Scrappy's first product outside the traditional bitters category. Each bottle is handcrafted using the same organic ingredients and hand-zesting techniques used across the full line, with no oils, extracts, artificial flavors, or dyes. A recipe card is tucked inside each box, giving newcomers a starting point for experimenting with the different flavors right away.

Aromatic brings warm clove and cinnamon over a rich, slightly numbing bitterness, while Orange delivers fragrant citrus oil balanced by bitter gentian root. Chocolate leans into toasted cacao nibs with notes of oak and vanilla for a creamy, dessert-like character, rounding out the more traditional bitters styles in the set. The Firewater Tincture stands apart, built from habaneros and balanced with delicate floral notes and a touch of sweetness, meant to be used sparingly for clean heat rather than as a bittering agent.
