Rocca delle Macìe's Maremma estate, Campomaccione, sits in the heart of Grosseto province — coastal Tuscany at its most expressive. This is the estate's flagship red, a 90/10 blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon from sandy, sandstone-rich soils at 130 metres elevation. Fermented in stainless steel and bottled the following spring, it's made for pleasure, not patience.

The 2022 delivers a vivid ruby color, with an inviting nose of ripe cherry, plum, and violet. On the palate it's smooth, fresh, and well-structured — bright acidity, soft tannins, and a lingering finish of dark berry and gentle spice. Consistent 89–90 point scores across vintages, and a wine that always punches above its price.
