Michel Rolland's Argentine passion project turns 20 this vintage, and the formula that built its reputation hasn't wavered: four Bordeaux-owned estates high in the Uco Valley, at the foot of the Andes, each contributing fruit that Rolland himself blends into one wine. The 2022 leans on Malbec as always, rounded out by Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah, aged partly in French oak and partly in tank to keep the fruit forward rather than woody. Black cherry and graphite lead on the nose, with fresh herbal lift; the palate is juicy, medium-to-full-bodied, with fine-grained tannins and real length — built to drink now or hold a few years. Fifteen straight years of 90+ scores says this project isn't a fluke.
