Domaine Paul Autard is a longstanding, family-run estate on the eastern side of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, farming old-vine Grenache alongside Syrah, Mourvèdre, and other traditional Rhône varieties on the appellation's signature galets roulés — the large, sun-baked stones that store heat and drive ripeness. The wines lean toward the richer, more generous style of the vintage while retaining real structure. Expect ripe dark fruit, garrigue, black pepper, and licorice on the nose, with a full-bodied, warm palate, velvety tannins, and a long, spiced finish.
