2023 Château Latour-Martillac Blanc — Pessac-Léognan AOC, Grand Cru Classé de Graves | 60% Sauvignon Blanc, 40% Sémillon | 

One of Pessac-Léognan's most storied addresses for white wine — the Kressmann family estate bearing a medieval tower once connected to the ancestors of philosopher Montesquieu, Grand Cru Classé in both red and white since 1953. The reputation of the property depends largely on its white wines — Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon hand-harvested in successive passes according to the progress of ripeness, then aged in French oak under the direction of winemaker Valérie Vialard. The 2023 delivers exotic fruit and citrus aromatics alongside delicate notes of white peach, with wonderful tension providing freshness and sustaining body and richness through the finish.
