The insider's back door into the Angélus universe — crafted by the same eighth-generation Boüard de Laforest family team, in the same state-of-the-art HVE3-certified chai, with the same meticulous sorting as the Premier Grand Cru Classé A Grand Vin. Sourced from clay-limestone parcels in Castillon acquired in 2017, where the fresh, aromatic Merlot shows notes of red fruit and flowers; Cabernet Franc in the blend adds delicate spice and black fruit while lifting the palate with silky, velvety tannins. Clear and dark in the glass — fresh red berries, tiny cherries, and subtle oak on the nose; a sense of verticality and fine acidity on the palate give great freshness and pure fruit character, with a lingering finish of roasted coffee and oak. The Wine Advocate calls it "very impressive for this price point." Drink 2026–203

91 Points
"Racy fruit with hawthorn, rose hips, red berries and cherries. Linear, with a nice structure, but nothing heavy from the fruit flesh in the middle. Fine-grained, with medium body and a chewy but juicy finish. Needs two more years to allow the fruit tannins to round off. More bones than flesh this year. Drink after 2026"
