2024 Alain Hudelot-Noellat - Vosne Romanee Beaumonts (750ml) [PRE ARRIVAL]

Alain Hudelot established his domaine in Vougeot in 1962, and it has quietly climbed into the top tier of Côte de Nuits producers ever since. His grandson, Charles van Canneyt, took charge in 2008 and has continued refining wines across the estate's fifteen appellations in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Vougeot, Chambolle-Musigny, and Vosne-Romanée. Les Beaumonts, sometimes labeled Les Beaux Monts on older bottlings, is one of several Vosne-Romanée Premier Crus in the domaine's portfolio, sitting alongside its Grand Cru holdings in the same commune.

The vineyard is assembled from parcels of varying vine age, and its wines have long been compared to a lighter version of the domaine's Richebourg, sharing a similar richness and depth without quite the same weight. Farming and vinification follow the same low-intervention approach used across the estate, with hand-harvested fruit aged in barrel to build structure gradually rather than force it.

The wine typically shows cassis and cherry fruit layered with dried flowers and rich, earthy soil tones. On the palate it is full-bodied and textural, with ripe, succulent fruit that conceals firm structuring tannins underneath. Pair it with grilled hanger steak, seared duck breast, or aged Cantal.
