Domaine William Fèvre has farmed organically for well over sixteen years, moving steadily toward full certification while Didier Séguier, at the helm since 1999, has kept the estate's focus fixed on terroir purity and finesse. That commitment carried through the 2023 sale of the seventy-eight-hectare property to Domaines Barons de Rothschild, a transition widely seen in Burgundy as a strong vote of confidence in the domaine's future.

Fèvre's Vaudésir comes from two south-facing parcels totaling just 1.2 hectares on the northern hillside of this Grand Cru, right in the heart of the Côte des Grands Crus and bordering the celebrated La Moutonne. The larger parcel sits in a natural amphitheater long considered the source of Vaudésir's finest fruit, on thin, clay-rich soils that ripen quickly. The wine is pressed as whole clusters, fermented in stainless steel, then aged a year in cask before returning to tank for several more months.

The 2024 shows a cool, perfumed nose of white peach, passion fruit, and honeysuckle, lifted by quinine and a touch of mineral reduction. The palate is dense, almost thick, with an aggressively stony edge and a citrus-tinged finish. Pair it with langoustine bisque, roast guinea fowl, or young Pont-l'Évêque.
