En Remilly is one of Domaine Marc Colin's signature vineyards, sitting at the top of the hill that divides Saint-Aubin from Chassagne-Montrachet, just below the grand cru of Chevalier-Montrachet. The Colin family, who founded their domaine in Saint-Aubin in 1970 and have farmed hillside parcels here for generations, consider this site among the finest expressions of the appellation, and it has become something of a calling card for the estate under the direction of Damien, Joseph, and Caroline, the children who now run the property.

The wine is a blend of five separate parcels within En Remilly, planted mainly in 1970 and 1990 on two distinct terroirs, a stony limestone plateau at the top of the slope and clay-rich ground lower down, both facing south and west. Grapes are pressed gently and the wine is vinified and aged in oak barrels for around ten months, a treatment that allows the site's natural tension and minerality to remain the focus rather than the wood itself.

The wine opens with aromas of ripe pear, white flowers, and freshly baked bread, joined by notes of candied lemon and a touch of nutmeg. The palate is satiny and layered, with fine acidity and a chalky, mineral spine that carries through a long, refined finish.

92-94 Points
"The 2024 Saint-Aubin En Remilly 1er Cru comes from 1.5 hectares of
vine located on two different terroirs: on the limestone plateau and on
the more clayey slopes. It has an enticing nose with citrus peel, pink
candy floss and almond scents, discrete but beautifully delineated. The
palate is very well balanced with a slightly nutty, slightly Meursault-like
entry with a mineral-driven, quite persistent finish. Excellent.
