Reeve Wines was launched in 2015 by Noah and Kelly Dorrance on a rolling hillside estate in Healdsburg, California, beginning as a creative sideline to their Banshee Wines label. Noah leads vineyard sourcing and style, supported by winemakers Ross Cobb and Katy Wilson. In 2025 the winery joined the Overshine Collective, and the Septime line takes its name from the number seven, which suggests completeness and wisdom.

The 2024 Septime Chardonnay is a barrel selection from cool climate single vineyard sites across the Sonoma Coast, with fruit from the H. Klopp and Heintz vineyards highlighted by critics. Grapes were hand sorted and whole cluster pressed, then settled in tank before fermenting in barrel. The wine aged 18 months in a three-way split of French oak, neutral barrels, and stainless steel drums, each about a third, then rested two months in stainless steel before bottling at 13.3 percent alcohol.

Lemon oil, ripe cantaloupe, and citrus custard lead the aromas, lifted by delicate floral notes. The palate balances a rounded, creamy texture with bright, focused acidity, finishing fresh and clean. It shows real complexity for a Chardonnay that is already inviting in its youth.
