Domaine Albert Morot's Bourgogne Chardonnay draws on fruit from the southern Côte de Beaune, where forty-year-old vines are rooted in clay-limestone marl soils with an east-southeast exposure. Chardonnay now accounts for nearly half of all plantings across Burgundy, and at the regional Bourgogne AOP level it offers a genuine window into the terroir's character without the price tag of a Premier Cru bottling.

Harvested by hand in small crates with careful sorting both in the vineyard and the cellar, the grapes undergo whole-cluster pressing before fermenting with native yeasts in French oak barrels. The wine is typically aged for months in oak, then finished in stainless steel to preserve freshness, with bâtonnage used as needed to build texture. Bottling is done by gravity, without fining or filtration, to keep the wine's expression as pure as possible.

In the glass, this Bourgogne Chardonnay shows intense aromas of white-fleshed fruit, layered with floral notes and a light touch of toast. It makes an excellent aperitif wine and pairs naturally with fish, shellfish, or cheeses such as Comté, Beaufort, or Époisses, drinking well young while also having the structure to develop further with a year or two of cellaring.
