2025 Chateau Mangot - St. Emilion (750ml) [Bordeaux Future ETA 2028]
Mangot, a Grand Cru Classé close to the vigneron
Taken over by the Todeschini family in the 1980s, Château Mangot is now led by brothers Karl and Yann Todeschini, who embody the new generation of the estate. Karl, a true man of the land, manages the vineyard in close connection with nature. Yann, with a more creative mindset, drives the estate’s strategy, communication and commercial development. Together, they share the same ambition: to produce sincere and expressive author wines, capable of conveying pleasure and emotion.
An ecological approach to produce wines with a strong identity
Certified organic since 2020, Mangot pursues a demanding approach focused on soil life, vine balance and low-intervention winemaking. This philosophy reveals pure, expressive wines that are deeply connected to their terroir.
The 2025 vintage
The 2025 vintage is set to be an important year for Château Mangot: the 18th vintage produced by the current team, marked by maturity, fullness and a strong identity. The growing season was highly favourable, with generous sunshine, well-timed rainfall and calm, precise harvest conditions. After a warm summer, the weather in late August and early September allowed the grapes to reach excellent maturity from 5 September onwards.
Mangot’s terroir plays its full role: the limestone soils bring tension, density and minerality, while the clay adds juiciness and roundness. The wine is described as juicy, dense, vibrant and precise, with beautiful aromatic brightness, a chalky texture and a balance between power and suppleness.
2025 appears to be a great solar yet balanced vintage, shaped by the quality of the ripeness, the freshness of the limestone terroir, and a fine harmony between fruit, density and elegance.
