Domaine Labbé was founded in 1975 when the fathers of cousins Alexandra and Jérôme Labbé planted Jacquère in their spare time, alongside their other work and farming. The cousins took over in 2004 and now tend about 10 hectares at the foot of Mont Granier, near Chapareillan and south of Chambéry, with certified sustainable practices.

The name Abymes recalls a catastrophic landslide from Mont Granier in 1248, which left a field of broken limestone rubble that is now planted to Jacquère, Savoie's signature white grape. The domaine ferments with native yeasts in stainless steel and, in recent vintages, ages the wine on its lees for about six months, preserving a pure, mountain-fresh character. Production is small, at roughly 500 cases a year.

Pale and bright in the glass, it opens with white flowers, green apple, white pear, and lime zest. The palate is crisp and lively, with a chalky, almost crystalline minerality and a clean, tangy finish that stays fresh to the last sip.
