Argyle has been making sparkling wine in Oregon’s Willamette Valley since 1987, when Rollin Soles and Brian Croser founded the winery with a grower-first philosophy. Based in Dundee in a former hazelnut processing plant, Argyle farms high-elevation estate vineyards on volcanic soils and has earned a reputation as one of Oregon’s sparkling wine specialists.

The 2022 Vintage Brut Rosé is made in the traditional method, with a second fermentation in bottle. Fruit was harvested from September 24 to October 3, 2022, and the finished wine was disgorged in May 2025 with a low dosage of 4 grams per liter. It is bottled at 12.5 percent alcohol. The result is a graceful Brut style that captures the purity of Willamette Valley fruit.

Bright aromas of raspberry, rose petal and citrus zest open this Oregon sparkling rosé, joined by strawberry, cranberry and blood orange with subtle pastry undertones. Layers of red fruit and delicate floral tones carry onto a palate with a touch of creaminess. Serve it chilled as an aperitif or with salmon or charcuterie.

93 Points
"Washington Syrah with a savory streak and a very fair price. Winemaker Mike Januik is behind Novelty Hill, a Washington name known for dark, polished reds. The 2023 is deep and inky, with blackberry, plum and exotic spice, plus black cherry, black pepper and a touch of leather. Medium-bodied and juicy, with lively acidity and refined tannins, so it drinks well now. Serve it with a lamb burger, mushroom risotto or anything off the grill."
