Formerly known as Daedalus Cellars, Willful Wine Company carries forward Pam Walden’s independent spirit in Jezebel—an easygoing, everyday Pinot Noir designed to be approachable while showcasing Oregon’s fruit-forward allure. The wine emphasizes a light touch with new oak and relies on native yeasts to capture a fuller expression of the fruit and terroir, creating a glass that remains elegant and food-friendly from the start.
The 2023 Jezebel Pinot Noir blends fruit sourced from several Oregon vineyards and clones across the Willamette Valley and Southern Oregon. In small fermentation lots, a mix of yeasts was chosen to highlight the fruit, then the wine was aged with about eighty percent going into neutral French oak and the remainder resting in stainless steel to preserve freshness. This approach keeps the wine bright and ready to enjoy in its youth, rather than built for long aging.
