Violin Wine was founded in 2013 by Will Hamilton, who built the label around a simple goal: crafting elegant, age-worthy Chardonnay and Pinot Noir through close partnerships with a small group of growers committed to quality in the vineyard. The winery, based on the crest of the Eola Hills, works with sites including Sojeau, Bracken, and other well-regarded vineyards across the Willamette Valley, favoring gentle extraction and minimal intervention to let each site's character come through. Over more than a decade, Hamilton has refined a house style built on balance and texture rather than sheer power.

This bottling blends fruit from the Bracken and Sojeau vineyards, both in the Eola-Amity Hills, sharing a border but separated by nearly two hundred feet of elevation. Sojeau's lower, warmer block lends richness and a chewy palate weight, while Bracken's higher, cooler fruit contributes a leaner, more structured frame. Roughly half the wine was fermented in stainless steel, with a portion of barrels held back until late in the year for added complexity, before the finished blend was cold stabilized outdoors, gently filtered, and bottled.

The wine opens with white peach, flower pollen, and restrained tropical notes, layered with a waxy, saline character on the palate. It stays lean and fresh, with mild phenolic grip lending texture through the finish. It pairs nicely with roast pork, grilled halibut, or an herbed chicken dish.
