NV Roederer Estate - Anderson Valley Brut
Roederer Estate Anderson Valley Brut
Roederer Estate’s non-vintage Brut embodies the California extension of Champagne Louis Roederer, rooted in Mendocino County’s cool, fog-kissed Anderson Valley. Since 1982, the family has farmed its own vineyards and carried over the house’s signature blend-and-reserve approach, resulting in a sparkling wine that honors tradition while expressing a distinctly West Coast character. This Brut is crafted from an estate-grown blend of roughly sixty percent Chardonnay and forty percent Pinot Noir, crafted with a cuvée-only press and a quiet, careful fermentation in stainless steel to preserve brightness and structure. Fermentation is kept lean with little to no malolactic activity, and the wine spends a minimum of two years aging on the lees, folding in ten to fifteen percent reserve wine from prior vintages to add depth without losing freshness.
