Marolo Grappa di Moscato 375ml

Marolo is a family-run distillery founded in Alba in the late 1970s by Paolo Marolo, who set out to distill only single-variety grappas that could showcase the noble grapes of Piedmont. Working against the trend of industrial column stills, Marolo favors traditional pot distillation and gives each bottling the space to reflect the character of its source grape, an approach that has made Paolo one of the most respected names in Italian grappa production.

This grappa is made from the pomace of Moscato d'Asti, Piedmont's celebrated aromatic sparkling wine. The pomace is first held briefly in oak before being distilled through a single alembic still, then rested in stainless steel tanks rather than wood, a step that guards against oxidation and allows the aromatics to fully knit together without picking up any color or oak character. The result is bottled clear at 42% alcohol by volume.

The nose is powerfully floral and inviting, with soft notes of jasmine, orange blossom, and sage. On the palate those same aromatics intensify, joined by hints of green wood and a touch of peppery spice, closing on a soft, persistent finish that showcases the Moscato grape at its most expressive.
