Jezebel is the more relaxed, easygoing label from Willful Wine Co., the Oregon winery founded by Pam Walden. Where the flagship Willful bottlings focus on single vineyard precision, Jezebel was created to offer wines that are well balanced and interesting without demanding much fuss, meant for everyday drinking and sharing. The label also includes a white blend built from Alsatian varietals, but the Pinot Noir remains its best known expression, built around approachability rather than complexity for its own sake.

The 2023 Jezebel Pinot Noir draws on fruit and clones from several vineyards across both the Willamette Valley and Southern Oregon, a broader sourcing approach than many single region bottlings. The wine was fermented in small lots using a variety of yeast strains selected to draw out the fullest fruit expression, with fermentation lasting two to three weeks. Roughly eighty percent of the wine aged in neutral French oak, with the remaining portion resting in stainless steel to keep the fruit character front and center.

The result is fruit forward and bright, with ample red fruit flavors carried on a medium weight, supple texture. It drinks easily in its youth, with a smooth finish and enough acidity to keep it lively. Its versatility with food makes it a natural match for roast chicken, grilled pork, or a simple charcuterie spread.
