Dewar's was founded in 1846 by John Dewar in Perth, Scotland, and the brand's identity has long been built around blending rather than a single distillery's output. Today's expressions are the work of Master Blender Stephanie Macleod, who draws on a library of up to thirty single malt and grain whiskies, including reserves from Dewar's own distilleries, to shape each release with precision. Her approach favors a lighter, more floral style than many traditional blends, aiming for smoothness and consistency across every bottling.

The 15 Year Old is built from malt and grain whiskies each matured for a minimum of fifteen years before being married together and returned to oak casks for a second maturation, the "double aging" process that gives the whisky its name. This extra marrying period lets the individual components integrate fully, producing a rounder, more cohesive character than a simple one-time blend. It is bottled at 40% ABV.

The nose opens with honeyed fruit, vanilla, and soft florals, joined by green apple and a touch of oak. On the palate, toffee and citrus meet nutty undertones and a silky texture, while the finish carries gentle smoke and warmth. It has earned Gold medals at both the International Spirits Challenge and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
