The 2022 Domaine de Mourchon Côtes du Rhône Villages Séguret Grande Réserve (750ml) presents a dense, concentrated Grenache–Syrah blend that captures Mourchon’s terroir with precision and depth. This AOP wine from Séguret offers layered complexity and a harmonious, persistent finish that invites further exploration with every sip.

  • Grape varieties: 70% Grenache, 30% Syrah.
  • Terroir and vines: crafted from fruit grown on Mourchon’s three principal terroirs, with later-ripening fruit from older vines contributing concentration through naturally low yields. Vines average around 60 years in age.
  • Tasting notes: deep purple in color with a complex nose of spicy fruit and savory notes. On the palate, flavors of black figs and blackberries unfold alongside subtle coffee and bitter chocolate. The texture shows grainy tannins and a focused freshness, carrying the wine to a long, expressive finish.
  • Food pairings: ideally paired with roasted vegetables, red meat, wild game, and creamy cheeses.
92 Points
"The 2022 Côtes Du Rhône Villages Séguret Grande Reserve is based on 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah. Black raspberries, peppery herbs, spicy wood, and some meaty nuances all shine here, and it's medium to full-bodied, with a broad, layered mouthfeel, plenty of tannins, and a great finish. I love it today yet it’s going to have a solid 10-12 years of prime drinking."
