2023 Talestri - Valpolicella Superiore DOC Determinazione (750ml)

Talestri is a family winery rooted in San Briccio, a hillside hamlet a short drive from Verona, where volcanic soils give the surrounding Valpolicella vineyards their distinctive character. Operating as Le Tre Talestri, the estate blends generations of local winemaking tradition with a modern, sustainability-minded approach, farming its hillside plots with an eye toward preserving the land's natural biodiversity. The Determinazione bottling reflects that philosophy, aiming to let the fruit and terroir speak with minimal intervention.

The wine is built from the classic Valpolicella trio of Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella, grown on volcanic hillsides rich in basalt and limestone. Grapes are picked and sorted with care, then vinified to capture maximum fruit purity and a true sense of place. To meet Superiore DOC standards, the wine undergoes extended aging before release, gaining added depth and structure along the way.

In the glass, the wine shows ruby red color with garnet reflections and an aromatic mix of red fruit, gentle spice, and a savory, mineral undertone shaped by its volcanic origins. The palate is elegant and balanced, with soft tannins carrying juicy red fruit through a long finish. It pairs beautifully with cured meats, roast poultry, grilled sausages, and aged cheeses.
