Château Laroque sits high above the Saint-Émilion landscape, one of the region’s oldest estates with roots dating back to the 12th century. The 2025 vintage, bottled in a 750ml format, embodies a terroir that has endured centuries of winemaking.

  • West: limestone outcrops reminiscent of Clos Fourtet lend finesse and a distinct mineral lift to the wine.
  • East: red clay interwoven with hard limestone recalls the character of Pavie-Macquin and Troplong-Mondot.
  • Sunset-facing slopes: soils enriched with Fronsadais molasses evoke the terroirs associated with Ausone and Tertre-Roteboeuf.

After decades of dormancy, Laroque was revived in the 1960s by the Beaumartin family. Today, under the stewardship of Stanislas Droin and David Suire, the estate crafts wines of remarkable intensity and authenticity, deeply shaped by this exceptional terroir and its storied heritage.

"The 2025 Laroque is a gorgeous, super-elegant wine. Vibrant, salivating acids and beams of tannin are the first signs we are on the clay/limestone plateau in Saint-Émilion's Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes sector. Blood orange, mint, chalk and white pepper bleed into a core of red-toned fruit. Medium in body, with striking energy and tension, Laroque is positively stellar in 2025. This is another superb showing from the team led by Technical Director David Suire. Tasted two times"
