Chateau Malartic-Lagravière, a Grand Cru Classé de Graves, embodies a modern day adventure in Bordeaux. Since 1996, the Bonnie family—Jean-Jacques and Séverine—have guided the estate with fresh energy, propelling the wines toward a new era of dynamism while preserving the estate’s quintessential finesse.

Protected by the pines of the Landes forest, the vineyard sits on one of the region’s most beautiful gravelly hillsides. Soils are dominated by fine gravel, mixed with shell limestone and clay, giving the wines a precise texture, structure and sense of place that is unmistakably Graves.

The 2025 vintage — a remarkable balance of richness and freshness

The 2025 vintage benefited from ideal conditions, combining warmth, welcome rainfall and generous water reserves from the winter. The vines developed harmoniously, with even flowering at the end of May and regular véraison in early August. The dry, sunny summer, despite two intense heatwaves, produced perfectly ripe grapes while preserving good levels of acidity. The white grape harvest, which began on August 26, resulted in flavourful, dense, lively and well-balanced wines, with a remarkable saline finish. The reds, harvested from September 9 to October 3, benefited from ideal timing and generous ripeness. They stand out for their refined tannins, freshness, concentration and great finesse. The 2025 vintage is therefore shaping up to be remarkable, marked by an impressive balance between richness, freshness, gourmandise and elegance.

Tasting notes and wine profile

For Malartic-Lagravière’s 2025, expect a red that displays the estate’s Graves precision with a modern edge: refined tannins, vibrant acidity, and a concentrated palate that remains poised and elegant. The vintage is characterized by a harmonious balance between richness and freshness, with gourmandise and finesse shaping the overall impression and a finish that lingers with clarity and refinement.

95-96 Points
"The quality of the tannins shows through nicely, with black currants, orange peel, crushed stones and a hint of fresh herbs. It's medium-bodied with a creamy texture and lots of polish. Long, complete and succulent, with a touch of salt. A blend of 57.5% cabernet sauvignon, 39% merlot, 3% petit verdot and 0.5% cabernet franc"
