2025 Chateau Mangot – Saint-Émilion (750ml) [Bordeaux Future ETA 2028]
Château Mangot, a Grand Cru Classé in Saint-Émilion, is led by brothers Karl and Yann Todeschini—the new generation behind the estate’s ongoing evolution. Karl tends the vineyard in close connection with nature, while Yann shapes strategy, communication, and commercial development. The estate’s ecological commitment is evident in its organic certification since 2020, reflecting a low-intervention approach that emphasizes soil life and vine balance to produce wines with a clear sense of identity and terroir.
The 2025 vintage, the eighteenth produced under the current team, promises maturity, fullness and a distinctive character. The growing season was highly favourable, with generous sunshine, well-timed rainfall, and calm harvest conditions. After a warm summer, grapes achieved excellent maturity from 5 September onwards. Mangot’s terroir comes into sharp relief: limestone soils contribute tension, density and minerality, while clay adds juiciness and roundness.
The wine is described as juicy, dense, vibrant and precise, with beautiful aromatic brightness and a chalky texture. It achieves a balance between power and suppleness, expressing its terroir while remaining accessible and expressive as it unfolds in the glass.
