2020 Skouras - Agiorgitiko Cabernet Sauvignon Peloponnese Megas Oenos MAGNUM (1.5L)
Greece's most iconic red blend, first produced in 1993 by pioneering winemaker George Skouras from high-altitude vineyards in Nemea. Fermented and macerated in stainless steel with full malolactic fermentation in oak, then aged 18 months in new French barriques and a further 6 months in bottle. Deep, intense purple in the glass; the nose is dense, concentrated, and elaborate yet elegant, with aromas of ripe blackberries, black raspberries, spice, smoke, and leather. On the palate it is silky yet robust, framed by delicate tannins, with balanced acidity, flavors of ripe fruit, cloves, black pepper, and a touch of herbs, finishing very long with great complexity.
