Castello di Montepò is the Maremma estate of the Biondi Santi family, whose reputation was built in the 1800s when Ferruccio Biondi Santi planted Montalcino's first vineyard with a selected Sangiovese clone that became known as Sangiovese Grosso, or Brunello. At Montepò, Jacopo and his son Tancredi channeled that same heritage clone, BBS11, into a fresh, food friendly rosato, giving the wine its name, JeT. The estate itself centers on an ancient fortified manor in the Scansano countryside, surrounded by roughly six hundred hectares of forest, olive groves, and vineyard that make up one of the Maremma's most recognized properties.

JeT is sourced entirely from Sangiovese Grosso grown on the estate's most favorably exposed vineyards, harvested in early September and pressed very gently to limit skin contact. Unlike a typical rosato, the juice is vinified as if it were a white wine, fermented at low temperature with essentially no time on the skins, which preserves a pale color and keeps the aromatics bright and precise. Scansano's hilly terrain and cooling breezes help maintain acidity through the growing season, giving the finished wine its characteristic freshness and lift.

The nose offers white petals and notes reminiscent of raspberry blossom, while the palate turns savory and harmonious, carrying a saline edge that sharpens the wine's natural liveliness. Its structure is elegant rather than fruit forward, with bright acidity driving a long, clean finish. This makes it a natural match for shellfish, delicate poultry dishes, or a fresh, mild cheese.
