2023 Hin Areni - Areni Noir Rose Vayots Dzor (750ml)

HIN ARENI is a Vayots Dzor winery founded in 2013, dedicated to showcasing the full potential of Armenia's signature grape, Areni Noir. The winery's 32 hectares of vineyards sit at an altitude of 1,215 to 1,250 meters, benefiting from the region's sedimentary and volcanic soils, a combination that gives the wines both structure and aromatic complexity.

Vayots Dzor is one of the most historically significant wine regions in the world. Just outside the village of Areni lies the Areni-1 cave, the site of the world's oldest known winery, dating to roughly 4100-4000 BCE. Today's vineyards are planted between 950 and 1,750 meters above sea level, among the highest in the world, where hot days and cool nights help preserve the grape's natural acidity. The volcanic soils here, rich in basalt, tuff, and obsidian, lend the wines a distinct mineral character.

Made from 100% Areni Noir, this rosé captures the grape's naturally bright acidity and delicate structure in a lighter format. Crafted in a dry, unfined style that preserves authenticity and natural character, it strikes a brilliant balance of fruit, florals, acidity, and minerality. Expect a pale ruby glass with fresh red berry and floral aromatics, crisp acidity, and a clean, mineral-tinged finish.
