2025 Domaine Barcelo - Rose VdP de l'Ile de Beaute (750ml)

Domaine Barcelo has been crafting wine on the island of Corsica, known as l'Île de Beauté, since 1985, when the Barcelo family established the estate near Aghione on the island's eastern coast. The 15-hectare property sits between sea and mountain, where Corsica's ancient and varied geology, a mix of granite, schist, limestone, and clay, encourages slow, even ripening and gives the wines their distinct mineral character. This rosé blends Grenache and Cinsault, two classic southern French varieties that take on an island-inflected personality here thanks to coastal breezes and mineral-rich soils.

In the glass, expect a pale, luminous pink hue. The nose is expressive and lively, offering pomegranate and fresh cherry alongside red berry fruit, blood orange, lime, and delicate white floral notes. The palate opens fresh and light, with a supple texture and lively acidity that carries through to a clean, harmonious finish.
