Domaine Tempier is one of the most celebrated estates in Provence, based in the town of Le Castellet along the Bandol coastline. The property traces its modern reputation to Lucien Peyroud, who took over in the mid-twentieth century and championed Mourvèdre as the region's defining grape, helping secure Bandol's status as an appellation. Today the estate spans roughly thirty-eight hectares across several distinct sites, still guided by the family's commitment to organic farming and minimal intervention in the cellar.

This rosé draws on Mourvèdre, Grenache and Cinsault, with Mourvèdre forming the backbone of the blend at just over half the total. The vines average about twenty years old and grow on clay-limestone soils across terraced slopes that descend toward the Mediterranean. Grapes are handled through gentle skin contact or direct pressing, and the juice is then settled at low temperature before fermentation, a method meant to preserve freshness and aromatic clarity rather than build weight or overt fruit sweetness.

The glass shows a pale salmon hue with real brightness and clarity. Aromas of citrus peel, white peach and rhubarb mingle with wild thyme and soft floral tones, while the palate stays precise and finely structured, carried by saline minerality and a long, gently spiced finish. It is a versatile match for grilled fish, herb-roasted chicken or a spread of Provençal vegetables with olive oil.
