Chapel Down was founded in 1977 by Stephen Skelton MW, who planted the first vines at Tenterden and laid the groundwork for what has become England's largest wine producer. The estate has grown from a small, pioneering plot into a major force in English sparkling wine, drawing on vineyards across Kent, Sussex, and Essex and earning recognition at international competitions along the way.

This Brut Rosé is a non-vintage blend built primarily from Pinot Noir, along with Pinot Noir Précoce and Pinot Meunier, sourced from vineyards planted on chalk, clay, and loam soils across the region. The wine is made using the traditional method, the same technique used in Champagne, with base wines aged before a secondary fermentation in bottle creates its fine, persistent bubbles.

On the nose, aromas of wild strawberry, redcurrant, and rose petal mingle with subtle notes of brioche and toasted shortbread from lees aging. The palate is crisp and dry, carrying bright red berry fruit alongside a fine, creamy mousse and lively acidity through to a clean finish. This rosé pairs well with smoked salmon, soft cheeses, or a simple seafood platter.
