Appleton Estate has produced rum in Jamaica's Nassau Valley since 1749, making it one of the oldest continuously operating rum distilleries in the world. The estate traces its land back to 1655, when Frances Dickinson, a soldier in the British expedition that captured Jamaica from Spain, was granted the property in recognition of his service. Campari Group acquired the brand in 2012 but has kept production on the estate itself, under Joy Spence, who became master blender in 1997 and was the first woman to hold that role at a major spirits house.

Signature Blend combines roughly fifteen different rums, aged between five and ten years in previously used oak barrels. The sugarcane is grown on the estate and fermented with naturally soft, limestone-filtered spring water alongside a proprietary yeast strain, then distilled through a combination of copper pot and column stills. Once blended, the rum rests briefly in fresh barrels to marry before bottling at 40 percent alcohol by volume.

The rum pours a harvest gold and amber color. The nose leads with dried apricot and fresh peach, layered over orange and a touch of molasses. On the palate it turns rich and mildly sweet, with light nuttiness and subtle wood, finishing smoothly with lingering citrus and spice.

"Appleton Estate Signature Blend is a full-bodied, medium-sweet rum. It's a delicious blend of 15 aged golden rums with a warm honey colour, a lush, fruity aroma, and a rich taste. It's for everyone and every day, and it's the perfect way to make 'just another day' feel special."
