The 2022 Petra Zingari Rosso combines Merlot, Sangiovese, Syrah, and Petit Verdot into a single-estate Toscana Rosso IGT engineered for early drinking and fresh fruit expression.

Cultivated across the vineyards surrounding Suvereto and nearby Riotorto, each grape variety is harvested and fermented independently before blending. This separate vinification allows winemakers Vittorio and Francesca Moretti to isolate distinct aromatic compounds while preserving the natural acidity typical of Maremma’s Mediterranean growing season. The finished wine rests briefly before release to emphasize immediate drinkability and clarity over prolonged oak conditioning.

The 750 ml bottle pours a deep ruby core with violet peripheral highlights. The aromatic profile features concentrated black cherry, wild blackberry, and plum layered atop mineral notes of graphite, dried herbs, and sweet spice. On the palate, the wine presents a plush, fruit-forward midsection supported by soft, integrated tannins. A restrained finish resolves toward mild cocoa and toasted vanilla.

Because Zingari Rosso maintains balanced acidity and a supple structure, it accommodates straightforward seasonal cooking. Recommended pairings include mortadella-filled paninis, oven-roasted poultry, and tomato-based pasta dishes.
