 Longrow is Springbank's heavily peated line, named after a long-shuttered Campbeltown distillery that once stood next door. Double distilled from 100% peated malt (around 50 ppm phenol content — roughly Islay-level intensity), aged in ex-bourbon casks, and bottled without an age statement, chill filtration, or added coloring. Expect straightforward smoke and brine on the nose with notes of vanilla, hay, and lemon peel, moving into a sweet, medium-bodied palate with ripe fruit and a lingering smoky finish. A distinctly mainland take on Islay-style peat — proof that Campbeltown can go toe-to-toe with the west coast's smokiest whiskies.
