Lady of the Glen is an independent bottling house founded in 2012 by Gregor Hannah, built around a name that draws on Scottish folklore and nature. It takes its identity from the green lady, a ghost long associated with Stirling Castle, paired with the vivid purple of a native Scottish wildflower, a theme reflected in the floral pattern that still marks the label today. Rather than distilling its own spirit, the company selects and bottles single casks from distilleries across Scotland.

This expression comes from Mannochmore, a Speyside distillery built in 1971 to help meet rising demand for blended Scotch. Mannochmore rarely bottles its own single malt, and its spirit is more often found anchoring blends or released through independent bottlers like this one. The distillery is known for a light, floral new make that gathers weight and depth as it matures, a character that comes through clearly after twelve years spent resting quietly in cask before Lady of the Glen selected it for release.

The whisky opens with buttery brioche, orange peel, and candied pear drops on the nose. Ripe orchard fruit and soft citrus carry through on the palate, framed by a touch of toasted barley, before settling into a finish that stays bright and fruit forward rather than heavy or oaky.
