Single Malts of Scotland is the flagship independent bottling range from Elixir Distillers, founded by brothers Sukhinder and Rajbir Singh, who also built The Whisky Exchange into one of the world's leading specialist retailers. Since 2005, the Singh brothers have used the range to hunt down exceptional single casks from distilleries across Scotland, bottling each release without chill filtration or added color, at whatever strength best shows off the individual cask's character.

This expression comes from Ardmore, a Highland distillery in Kennethmont known for its lightly peated style, an unusual trait for its region since it sits near the border with Speyside. The spirit was distilled in 2009 and matured for fifteen years in a single refill bourbon barrel, cask number 708034, yielding a limited batch of bottles. It was bottled at cask strength, 53% ABV.

The nose carries farmyard peat, green olive brine, peppery citrus, and a whisper of wax, with a faint note of sheep's wool. The palate is creamy and oily, layering peppery smoke, lemon zest, and olive oil alongside medicinal touches. The finish runs long and savory, closing on embers, olives, and bonfire smoke.
