Carlos 1 Gran Reserva PX Cask Brandy 700ml
Mahogany in colour, with intense reddish reflections and notes of caramelised oak and raisins. A unique brandy characterised by its double ageing in old sherry casks. The first four years of ageing take place in casks that previously housed Osborne's Amontillado and Oloroso sherries over more than 50 years. The brandy culminates with a second ageing for another year in century-old butts from the PX Viejo Solera, founded in 1905. This gives it a harmonious combination of fine fruity aromas, intertwined with elegant sweet touches of roasted cocoa and liquorice that come from these unique casks that were home for over one hundred years to one of Osborne’s most awarded Pedro Ximénez sherries. A liquid tribute to the sweetest Jerez traditions.
Appearance
Mahogany colour, with deep reddish reflections.
Nose
Notes of caramelised oak, roasted cocoa, black liquorice, in perfect harmony with the notes of raisins and fig bread from the Solera PX Viejo.
Palate
Velvety, with its passage on the palate lengthened by elegant touches of caramelised oak and hints of raisin.
