Producer Champagne Pol Roger
Vintage 2015
Region Champagne, France
Grape 100% Chardonnay
Sourcing Grand Cru Côte des Blancs (Avize, Oger, Cramant, Chouilly, Oiry, Le Mesnil)
Aging 6+ years on lees · disgorged July 2021 · 7 g/L dosage

The house that made Churchill's favorite Champagne, and one of the last great family-owned grande marques. This Blanc de Blancs is drawn exclusively from grand cru Chardonnay across six villages of the Côte des Blancs, hand-riddled in the cellar and aged a minimum of six years on its lees. After the chiseled, precise 2013, the 2015 is cut from richer, broader cloth — a touch more sun-kissed and vinous, marrying textural intensity with striking freshness. Expect golden orchard fruit, Asian pear, lemon preserve, white flowers, and warm biscuit, with salted almond and a whisper of mocha emerging over a fleshy core, lively acids, and a precise, chalky-saline finish. Power and finesse in equal measure, drinking beautifully now and cellar-worthy through 2034.

93 Points
"After the pillowy, chiseled 2013, Pol Roger's 2015 Brut Blanc de Blancs is cut from richer, broader cloth. Offering up aromas of crisp golden orchard fruit, white flowers and subtle hints of warm biscuits, it's full-bodied, broad and vinous, with a fleshy core of fruit, lively acids and a precise, chalky finish. In style, it's reminiscent of a somewhat more sun-kissed version of the 2012 rendition."
—William Kelley-Wine Advocate
94 Points
"Sleek and minerally, this elegant Champagne is crisply lacy in texture, with notes of Asian pear, lemon preserves, salted almond and white blossoms that are lightly honeyed and juicy throughout. Shows good drive on the firm, lingering finish. Drink now through 2034. 150 cases imported."
