Casamigos Blanco Tequila 750ml
Casamigos was created by a group of longtime friends who wanted a tequila smooth enough to sip without the burn, ultimately building the brand around that shared vision before selling it to a major spirits company. Production takes place at the Productos Finos de Agave distillery in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, where each batch is made in small quantities using traditional methods aimed at consistency and a refined, approachable style.
This blanco starts with 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the region's mineral-rich clay soils for around ten to twelve years before harvest. The agave hearts are roasted far longer than typical, about ten times the usual duration, in a traditional brick oven to draw out their natural sugars, then fermented for roughly 80 hours, nearly double the standard fermentation time, allowing slower, more flavorful yeast strains to shape the spirit. After two rounds of distillation, the tequila rests for two months in stainless steel rather than wood, a step designed to soften the spirit while keeping it clear and unaged.
The nose offers citrus and sweet cooked agave with subtle vanilla and light floral notes, while the palate is smooth, clean, and balanced with a touch of pepper and gentle sweetness. The finish is crisp and refreshing, closing with a lingering hint of fruit and spice.
