Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Batch A125 comes from Heaven Hill Distillery, one of Kentucky's largest family-owned producers, based in Bardstown and Louisville. The brand honors Reverend Elijah Craig, an eighteenth century Baptist minister often credited in bourbon lore with pioneering the use of charred oak barrels. Barrel Proof is Heaven Hill's flagship uncut release within the Elijah Craig lineup, issued in three annual batches labeled A, B, and C.

Released in January 2025, Batch A125 takes its name from that batch order and month, along with the year. It aged ten years and seven months before bottling at 118.2 proof, arriving without dilution or chill filtration to preserve its full barrel character. The whiskey is built on Heaven Hill's standard bourbon mashbill of seventy-eight percent corn, twelve percent malted barley, and ten percent rye.

Caramelized sugar and toasted oak lead the nose, joined by vanilla custard and a touch of dark fruit and baking spice. The palate turns rich and warming, offering brown sugar, vanilla, and honeyed sweetness layered with spice. The finish runs long, closing on lingering oak and warmth.
