Pennsylvania Dutch Egg Nog is made by Charles Jacquin et Cie, a Philadelphia liqueur company with roots stretching back some one hundred forty years. The Jacquin family still runs production out of the same Trenton Street factory in the city, where dozens of steel vats feed a sprawling portfolio of cordials, cream liqueurs, and ready-to-drink cocktails. Pennsylvania Dutch itself has been made using the same recipe for three generations, and the egg nog remains one of the company's signature seasonal releases, with production ramping up heavily through the late spring and summer months to meet holiday demand.

Unlike many liqueurs built on purchased neutral grain spirit alone, Pennsylvania Dutch Egg Nog starts with fresh dairy cream and eggs sourced from farms near the Philadelphia facility. These are blended with a mix of rum, brandy, and blended whiskey, then sweetened and spiced, giving the finished liqueur its signature richness. The recipe is designed as a ready-to-drink alternative to homemade egg nog, requiring nothing more than chilling before serving.

The liqueur pours a rich ivory-gold and opens with warm, familiar aromas of nutmeg, vanilla, and egg custard. On the palate it is thick and velvety, showing brown sugar, vanilla, and baking spice, with the blended spirits providing a soft, gentle warmth through the finish.
