Old-world technique, extraordinary result — this is what tequila was always meant to be.

Crafted by Master Distiller Don Salvador Rosales Torres, part of a family involved in tequila production since 1904, Cascahuin Tahona Blanco is made from 100% Weber Blue agave grown in the Lowland region of Jalisco. The piñas are slow cooked for 25 hours in a masonry oven, then crushed with a traditional 2-ton tahona stone wheel — a labor-intensive pre-Hispanic method that extracts the agave's natural oils and fibers, resulting in a richer mouthfeel and more complex expression than modern roller-mill tequilas. Fermented open air in cement tanks with bagasse and natural yeast, then double-distilled in copper stills.

Bottled at 42% ABV for a crisper, more expressive experience — white pepper, citrus leaves, orange blossom, and green agave on the nose; cooked agave, honeyed mouthfeel, fresh vegetal and herbal notes, green olive, and green pepper on the palate; with a long, dry, mineral finish of caramelized banana.

Additive-free, deeply mineral, and endlessly complex — a masterpiece of a blanco that tequila purists return to again and again.  Best enjoyed neat.

"The creators of Cascahuin believe that innovation in Tequila comes from digging back into its artisanal roots, and the use of a tahona in the production of this incredible blanco is exactly that.

Savory notes and minerality coming from the roasting in stone ovens, use of a traditional stone tahona, and copper pot distillation.Higher-proof blanco at 42% for a crisp tasting experience and increased citrus, herbal, and floral notesSlow maceration with a Tahona means less methanol in the final product, which means less of a headache the next day.

TASTING NOTES:

Aroma: White pepper, citrus leaves(like standing in a citrus grove, earth), sweet potato, orange blossom, green agave

Palate: Cooked agave, honeyed mouth feel, fresh vegetal and herbal notes (cut grass, meyer lemon, tropical fruits), savory green olive and green pepper

Finish: long but crisp, caramelized banana, dry minerality
