Cascahuin Tahona Blanco Tequila 750ml
Old-world technique, extraordinary result — this is what tequila was always meant to be.
Crafted by Master Distiller Don Salvador Rosales Torres, part of a family involved in tequila production since 1904, Cascahuin Tahona Blanco is made from 100% Weber Blue agave grown in the Lowland region of Jalisco. The piñas are slow cooked for 25 hours in a masonry oven, then crushed with a traditional 2-ton tahona stone wheel — a labor-intensive pre-Hispanic method that extracts the agave's natural oils and fibers, resulting in a richer mouthfeel and more complex expression than modern roller-mill tequilas. Fermented open air in cement tanks with bagasse and natural yeast, then double-distilled in copper stills.
Bottled at 42% ABV for a crisper, more expressive experience — white pepper, citrus leaves, orange blossom, and green agave on the nose; cooked agave, honeyed mouthfeel, fresh vegetal and herbal notes, green olive, and green pepper on the palate; with a long, dry, mineral finish of caramelized banana.
Additive-free, deeply mineral, and endlessly complex — a masterpiece of a blanco that tequila purists return to again and again. Best enjoyed neat.
