Codigo 1530 Reposado Tequila 750ml

Napa Valley meets Jalisco — and the result is something truly distinctive.

Código 1530 is an all-natural tequila with no chemicals, sugar, or flavoring added, made using organic local yeast and water filtered through the volcanic soil of the Los Bajos region.Only agave over seven years old is used, distilled and then rested for six months in Napa Valley Cabernet wine barrels made of French white oak. 

The Reposado has the brightness of ripe agave with the warm undertones of whiskey — pure agave flavors meeting the elegant complexity of its distinct resting process. On the nose, cooked agave, cinnamon and baking spices, vanilla, caramel, and butterscotch with hints of smokiness and a buttery, coating mouthfeel.  The barrel aging really shines here — complex and rounded, with flavors that are softer and more layered than the Blanco, nothing jumping out but everything clearly present.
