Where four generations of Camarena mastery begins.

Created by Felipe Camarena, G4 — standing for four generations — is distilled at El Pandillo Distillery in Jesús María, Jalisco. Agaves are cooked in stone ovens for 22 hours, crushed in a handmade metal tahona, double-distilled in copper stills, and crafted with a unique 50/50 blend of collected rainwater and spring water.

The Blanco opens with creamy, confectionary aromas of fresh-cut succulent and candied fruit, then delivers an incredibly smooth palate — lightly sweet, mellowed herbaceousness, beautifully creamy and buttery, with a distinctive long, warm finish and a lingering note of clean mineral clay. No additives, no shortcuts — just pure agave expression from one of the most celebrated distilling families in Jalisco.

From the same legendary Camarena family behind Tapatio and El Tesoro, G4 Blanco is one of the finest expressions of 100% agave tequila at its price point  — and the perfect foundation for exploring the full G4 range.

"G4 is a newish tequila brand masterminded by Felipe Camarena (brother of Carlos Camarena), designed with quality firmly in mind. G4 ? named for the four generations of Camarenas who've been making tequila in Jalisco ? uses only estate-grown, organic agave, and he relies on sustainable power and recycled materials whenever possible.

The result is a pretty impressive blanco (we did not receive the reposado or anejo expressions for review) that tequila fans will want to check out.

This unaged, silver expression kicks off with a nose of intense black and red pepper, pungent agave, and some lemon notes. There's a sharp, saline-like edge to it, positively screaming for use in a margarita. The palate initial hits the tongue with similar notes, pulling no punches with its peppery, herbal profile. The attack is sharp and impactful, though eventually some moderated sweetness emerges, settling down to showcase some fruity notes that tend toward a melon character. The finish pushes things in a different direction, finding a touch of bittersweet chocolate to temper the spice up front. The overall impact is one that's impressive, refreshing, and invigorating.
