Anthill Farms was founded in 2004 by Anthony Filiberti, David Low, and Webster Marquez, who met while working at Williams Selyem. Their first vintage was just eight and a half barrels, and the winery remains small, focused on single vineyard Pinot Noir from cool North Coast sites and a hands-off approach in the cellar.

Peters Vineyard lies in the Sonoma Coast appellation, an east-facing, organically farmed site planted in the early 1980s to Pommard and 777 clones. Goldridge fine sandy loam soils and frequent morning fog slow ripening. For the 2022 vintage, 30 percent of the fruit was fermented as whole clusters with native yeasts, and the cap was punched down once daily for three weeks. The wine aged 15 months in French oak, 25 percent new, and was bottled with only 25 parts per million of sulfur dioxide. It finishes at 13.5 percent alcohol, with just 250 cases produced.

Dark cherry, tea, and baking spice are lifted by perfumed floral aromas. The palate is notable for its texture, delicate yet striking, with a persistent, spicy finish.

"Dark red color. The low yields of the vintage are apparent here. Darker flavors of cherry liqueur, rose petal, cinnamon, black tea and wood spice are usual from the start. After and hour of being open aromas and flavors begin to jump from the glass and coat the palate. This is deliciously impactful in the mouth with its texture and perfume that turn more and more elegant over time." "
