Rather than focusing on a single terroir, the company works with growers throughout the country and bottles both well-known varieties and rare ones like Usakhelouri and Tsolikouri alongside its core lineup. This wine is made from Rkatsiteli, one of the oldest cultivated grape varieties in the world, with roots in Georgian viticulture dating back thousands of years. Kakheti, in eastern Georgia, is Rkatsiteli's spiritual home and produces more of the grape than any other region in the country. The area's warm days and cool nights help the grapes hold onto natural acidity even through long summers, while its continental climate and harsh winters favor a variety known for its cold hardiness.
