The Torres family entered Chile in 1979, purchasing 100 hectares of vineyard land in Maquehua, San Francisco Norte, and Cordillera, along with a winery in the Curicó Valley. Miguel Torres brought over 140 years of family winemaking history to this new venture, and the estate became one of the first foreign producers to invest seriously in Chile's Central Valley. Torres was also among the earliest Chilean winemakers to adopt stainless steel tanks and temperature-controlled fermentation, technology that helped set new standards for quality in the region.

This Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the Maipo Valley, where the towering presence of the Andes shapes the growing season. The mountains bring wide swings between daytime warmth and nighttime cold, a pattern that slows ripening and helps the grapes hold onto their aromatic intensity. The valley's phylloxera-free soils and reliably dry climate further support the concentrated, structured style the region is known for in Cabernet Sauvignon.

Garnet in color, this wine opens with ripe black cherry, cassis, and dark plum, complemented by hints of mint, vanilla, and cedar. Full bodied on the palate, it carries firm yet refined tannins and balanced acidity through to a long finish. It suits grilled steak, lamb chops, or aged hard cheeses.

91 Points
"Spiced red berries, currants, charcoal and paprika follow through to an elegant, medium-bodied palate with fine-grained tannins. Lightly saline and savory with a medium-long finish. Drinkable now, but can hold for a few years."
